The Victorian Government announced that the wearing of face masks will be mandatory in Victoria’s worst-hit coronavirus areas from 11:59pm on Wednesday night.

“If you are out of your home for one of the four permitted reasons, then you need to be wearing a mask and I stress – or a face covering,” Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Sunday.

Anyone in Greater Melbourne or Mitchell Shire caught without a mask or face covering will be fined $200.

Meanwhile, Mr Andrews said an order of at least 2.5 million masks was on its way to Melbourne, with the “first significant batch” expected to arrive this week.

Where are these 2.5 million masks coming from anyway? Daniel Andrews who is linked to the Communist Party of China, we’re guessing from his communist buddies in China.

Back to this legal nonsense. Here you have the Vic Government making threats of intimidation and extortion if you are caught not wearing a mask, yet the Australian Federal Governments’ own website titled “Information on the use of surgical masks” claims the following:

Surgical masks in the community are only helpful in preventing people who have coronavirus disease from spreading it to others. If you are well, you do not need to wear a surgical mask as there is little evidence supporting the widespread use of surgical masks in healthy people to prevent transmission in public.

The PDF can be downloaded directly from their website. We have also saved a copy for that moment when politicians realise they screwed up, and delete the evidence.

In the meantime, a Sydney based firm G&B Lawyers shared its “free legal advice” on Facebook on Sunday following the announcement.

It wrote:

Don’t wear a mask

Is it possible this law firm is thinking what we are thinking? The fines cannot possibly stand up in court, the evidence to free Victorians from fines is ‘written on the wall‘ so to speak.

Being bombarded by fake news media and threats of disbarment, the law firm have retracted their statement and made another announcement claiming they were wrong for posting what they did, but stated:

As a citizen of Australia, I have an implied freedom of political communication which is protected by the Constitution.

My position remains that any law that attempts to mandate the wearing of a face mask in Australia is unlawful and in breach of the Constitution.

So the secret is out, all fines for not wearing a mask are invalid, and you should opt to challenge them in a court of competent jurisdiction as soon as possible.
